Great Job to the RHS Music Department for an incredible Winter Concert! They played their annual song, Sleigh Ride, which has been a longtime crowd favorite. During the song, a special surprise walked onto the stage, alumni had joined the stage with them! Many parents and students were immensely impressed with the talent that was shown, what an amazing performance! The following day, the Choir department went on a field trip to the Vernon Senior Center on Tuesday, December 19th to serenade the elderly in our town. Ms. Madrak was accompanied by Mr. McCann and Mr. Rhoades to chaperone! What a great way to kick off the holiday season!

Watch out Rockville students, Mama Mia is coming to town! In March of 2024, the Rockville High School Music Department will be putting on the musical Mamma Mia! Make sure to be there from March 1st to the 3rd. The director of this musical, Mr. Sinclair, and vocal instructor, Ms. Madrak, as well as producer and assistant director, Ms. Cianci, are hoping for a big turnout! Sophie, the main character, is played by Abigail Brown with understudy Emily Leonard! Brown has been making an incredible impact on previous shows, like in last year’s production of The Wizard Of Oz where she played the notorious role of Dorothy! Donna is played by Lorelei Hutchings, with understudy Gabrielle Rainey, Hutchings has also proven herself to be a talented actress in last year’s production of The Wizard of Oz! With an even bigger cast this year, Mr. Sinclair urges many students to join what he calls “One of the fastest growing clubs at Rockville High School”. When asked, Sinclair claimed that this show is “more modern, more trendy, and is more mature” than last year’s showing of The Wizard of Oz. Sinclair also claims the show has “more adult themes” and is “something everyone at RHS will laugh at”. The young actors and actresses are preparing for and anticipating the day(s) of the show and they cannot wait to put on the performances of a lifetime! Don’t forget to follow them on Instagram @rhs.musical! Make sure to have an open calendar!
